Ches is an early innovator in Internet security. He is known for his work in firewalls, proxies, and Internet mapping at Bell Labs, Lumeta Corp, and AT&T Shannon Lab. He co-authored the first full book on firewalls, and a pioneer in Internet mapping.
Ches is an inventor with a dozen patents, a researcher with interests in security and visualization, a consultant, stock picker, and a science guy since the late 1950s.
He is currently working on various projects, including some with students at University of Pennsylvania, where he is a visiting scholar.
Ches is now looking for the next interesting thing to do, and is open to suggestions.
